Chuck Smith:

Principal partner, Chuck Smith, spent after-school hours and summers working for his father, who was a plumbing contractor, and his uncles, who owned a residential/commercial HVAC company. After graduating from NC State, Chuck spent 23 years in the textile industry where he refined problem-solving, management, organization, technical and mechanical creativity, and sales skills. During this time with his own hands, he built his primary residence in Greensboro, NC, and  commercial buildings to house two family businesses.

All of this knowledge, mechanical background and experience came together when he began remodeling kitchens and baths in Greensboro, NC in 1994. He earned a hands-on reputation for quality and service that still generates requests. 

Building at the beach evolved from building his own permanent home at Sea Isle Plantation in Indian Beach, NC in 2001. The attention to detail and quality of workmanship that Chuck insisted on for his own home is evident in every home that he builds. Homeowners appreciate the dedication, professionalism, and unique creativity that he brings to each project.
